Centinela Hospital Physicians Give $10,000 to St. Margaret’s Center
Inglewood, CA – January 6, 2010 – As part of their commitment to give back to the community that they serve, the over 500 physicians on the medical staff at Centinela Hospital Medical Center recently donated $10,000 to the St. Margaret’s Center in Lennox, CA. The Center is part of the LA Archdiocese Catholic Charities program and serves individuals and families living at or below the poverty level.
Says Roberta "Bobbie" De La Rosa, Director, Medical Staff Services at the hospital, “Due to the economic downturn, St. Margaret’s has been experiencing an increasing need for their services in the LAX area. The medical staff’s annual donation to St. Margaret’s is meant to show our support for their efforts. All of our physicians are proud to be able to help out such a deserving organization.” St. Margaret’s received the donation in time to help out the needy during the busy holiday season. The money will go to support the many services that are offered by the organziation including, a food pantry, rental assistance, shelter vouchers, utility assistance, vision screening and educational workshops
