  • Mommy Self-Care
Summer McBride, Parenting Program Assistant Director, Claris Health
Summary: As parents, taking good care of ourselves is crucial to creating a positive home environment, developing strong bonds with our children, and finding true enjoyment in our parenting journey. Parents who feel like they have no time for self-care are often the ones who need it most. This session will give you practical ways to care for yourself, increase your energy, and help you remember that parents need care, too.

Bio: Summer McBride is a Parenting Program Assistant Director at Claris Health. She instructs weekly classes on a wide range of topics, including the court-approved curriculum, Breakthrough Parenting. Her background in post-secondary education and public school policy helps inform her role as a parent educator. When she’s not teaching and doing outreach with Claris Health, she loves spending time with her husband of 17 years and their 5 young sons. She also enjoys long naps, quiet moments for reading, cooking new recipes, and getting manicures because self-care is not selfish - it’s a necessity.
