Centinela Hospital Medical Center Named to  U.S. News & World Report 2017-18 High Performing Hospital List

INGLEWOOD, Calif. – August 22, 2017 – Centinela Hospital Medical Center today announced that it was named to U.S. News & World Report 2017-18 High Preforming Hospital List for Specialty Rankings in the treatment of Heart Failure and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD).

The annual Best Hospitals recognition, now in its 28th year, are part of U.S. News’ patient portal, designed to help patients make informed decisions about where to receive care for life-threatening conditions or for common elective procedures.

For the 2017-18 rankings, U.S. News evaluated more than 4,500 medical centers nationwide in 25 specialties, procedures, and conditions. In the 16 specialty areas, 146 hospitals were ranked in at least one specialty. In rankings by state and metro area, U.S. News recognized hospitals as high performing across multiple areas of care.

In addition to the U.S. News & World Report awards, Centinela Hospital Medical Center has been recognized for its quality of care, receiving honors from The Joint Commission, Truven Analytics, Healthgrades, The Leapfrog Group, among others.
